Different Classifications of Fiberglass Tanks
Fiberglass tanks are forms of storage or process tanks. These tanks are specifically used as industrial containers serving the most general purposes. Such products are configured according to orientation, dimensions, placement, and wall configurations. Depending on the materials used during the construction, the tanks may be used for either short or long term purposes as well as for mixing, metering, dispensing and blending.
Fiberglass tanks are made from a set of processes. First, it starts with the so-called fiberglass reinforced polyester or FRP.
The FRP is made out of long glass fibers formed or embedded inside a resin. The good thing about this material is it can be transformed into a wide array of shapes. It is lightweight but very durable and can resist corrosion.
It is often used in conjunction with the tank's plastic material. With these traits of fiberglass, several forms of tanks are manufactured in the market.
Underground Tanks
These tanks are favored because they are rustproof and cost-effective and are considered safe for the environment. These products are used in order to contain petroleum products and other liquids that may be hazardous when exposed. Underground tanks are constructed out of a non-corrosive FRP material and are available either in single or double walls. It may also contain a variety of compartments.
oil tank
The oil tank is fiberglass tanks used for containment of water, flare stack waste, condensate and any other forms of non-hazardous chemicals. They are further classified into double-wall storage tanks to make sure that all the aforementioned compounds will be kept properly. The products can be used both in vertical and horizontal applications.
FRP septic tank
Aside from the vast requirements of manufacturing companies, tanks may also be used in residences. This gadget lessens the risk of any environmental pollutants and is constructed not only to resist corrosion but to prevent fire as well. It is also very useful for long-term purposes. Not only is it non-corrosive but it is also UV protected, non-permeable, light weight and factory tested. It is commendable for fast and easy installation.
